Ainslie McLaughlin is Director of Major Transport Infrastructure Projects with Transport Scotland. He is a chartered civil engineer, a graduate of Heriot-Watt University, and has an MBA from University of Edinburgh.
He has over 30 years experience in roads and transport engineering.
For the past 21 years he has worked in Central Government and has been responsible for the delivery of a wide range of projects including the M74 Completion, Clackmannanshire Bridge, M77/Glasgow Southern Orbital, the setting up of the National Driver Information System and the first generation of Operating Contracts.
